How do I get compensation for cleaning my car?

Question

I was driving down a road that had freshly been oiled.. there were NO SIGNS to indicate that. My car is New and was covered in Tar... I managed to get most of it off (with a lot of effort) but couldn't possibly get it all off, my car is still speckled and the wheel wells and under still need to be cleaned. I would like the company to pay for my car to be detailed... how should I aproach this?? I haven't contacted the company yet..

Check with your insurance and see what they say.  You may have to check with the local authorities.  Likely, though you're SOL

Were you on county or state road, you would have to call county road department or state department of motor vehicles.

Thats what I would do I am  in Ohio.
