How do I get drywall putty off my wood ceilings?

I had my bedroom walls sprayed with a texture gun. I have wood ceilings and some putty got on the ceilings and has since dried. It is very hard to get off. Any suggestions? I have tried scrubbing with water to try and dilute it but not much luck! Help!

I would suggest scrapping with a putty knife and following by sanding the areas.  Good luck!

Having done drywall  I would suggest using a spray bottle

with warm water and a little dish detergent  just  keep it moist

and keep misting it till it softens  it will take  awhile .
