  1. Cable or Satellite are the only ways

  2. the dish (parabolica)

  3. A UK terrestrial freeview box is not usable.. You need to get a satellite set-up, aimed at the Astra(Sky platform) satellite at 28 degrees east, to receive the many free channels available. A bigger dish, around, 90cm. would be needed; you just need to find a Spanish installer. The first website, below, lists the free channels.

  4. Try Penelope Cruze, she speaks some english!

  5. If you're only going for a short trip why bother, There's so much else to do. If you are moving check at the ads at www.costablanca-news.com There are loads of firms that do sattelite and cable

  6. JUST COME OUT BUY A TEL EVES SAT SYSTEM FOR AROUND A HUNDRED AND FIFTY EUROS AND POINT IT TO 19.2 WEST AND YOU WILL HAVE ALL ENGLISH CHANNELS EXCEPT CHANNEL 4 AND CHANNEL 5

IF YOU CAN GET A CHEAP SKY BOX WITH A CARD IN THE UK GET IT AND YOU WILL GET THE LOT DONT BUY THEM HERE THEY SELL FOR CRAZY MONEY !!!!! YOUVE BEEN WARNED 300 EUROS +. GOOD LUCK

  7. sky, best

  8. sky and satellite are not the only way dont listen to these stupid people.

If your tv has a good reception on some channels like the one that murder she wrote is on and csi is one then you can press the dual button on your remote and it will translate back to its origional format which is normally english.

    xx

  9. get sky telivision dish, everyones got em.

  10. We are lucky enough to have cable where I live in Javea, Spain.  We get approximately 25 English channels.  Really good value, no T.V. licence to pay.  If you live in an area where there is no cable, then you will need a dish.  Depending on what sort of channels you wish to view will depend on the size dish you have installed.  Hope this helps.

  11. You need a good big receiving disc. My daughter has an ordinary sky one and she gets a few channels but can no longer get BBC as they changed the footprint of the statilite

  12. In short, yes it will but your reception quality depends how far south & how big your dish is. A 1m dish is good. We are near Girona and with an 80cm dish get everything except c5.

  13. HI I live in Gran canaria and use a Freeview box I bought here for 40 euros, as we rent and can't install a dish, works of the normal aerial same as UK, currently we get 20 channels, one the Sony channel always broadcasts programmes with dual sound track so you can flick between English or Spanish using your remote language key, TVE 1TVE 2 the main Spanish channels use dual soundtrack now for any original version English movies and series the same for Cuatro and Cinco but not all programmes on these channels are Dual soundtrack.

The only way you will get BBC ITV etc is if you have Sky or something similar.
