There is an audition for a movie but you are suppose to send a resume (preferably video footage audition) to his email and they said "There are NO Open Casting Calls". Does that mean I have to have acting experience OR some experience (like martial arts in a martial arts movie) that will benefit the role. The director said that there will probably be unknown people as main characters.

I think I look like and have skills like the cartoon character that is going to be turned into a live action movie.

  1. An open casting call means anyone is invited to audition.

A closed casting call means you must be invited- i.e. your agent must get you in.

If you do not have an agent, then you can not attend an audition that says "there are no open casting calls"

    Sorry about that.
