Question:

How do I get faster for the 1 mile run?

I ran cross country in the fall and I just can't get out of the 2 mile pace.

On my last cross country race my mile time was 7:02, and on my first 1 mile run race for track, I got 7:04.

How do I let go of that slow cross country pace and move on to track?!?!

I also run the 800m, and that event is after the mile and I am always very tired for it. Do you have any advice about that?!?!?

  1. Well since it's your first track meet you are going to run a little slower than what you ran at the end of CC.

If you want to not be so tired you prolly need to train with more miles. That will get your endurance up.

To let go of your CC pace.....well that's kinda odd. If you are on a flat track you should be able to run faster even if you were still running CC. Try starting off faster maybe? Not sure I really never had that problem.

    Hope this helps. Good Luck!
