How do I get free ringtones on the LG Scoop from Alltel? Is there a hack?

I've had some free downloads sent to my phone via text, but it wont let me use them as ringtones? I heard that this problem is specific for the LG scoop. I also heard something about a hack and something about needing a usb cable (I have a SD card which I used with my last phone) to get it to work. Can someone help?

there is no hack available. Its a well known fact that Alltel disables their customers from using songs on their memory card as ringtones.

There is no way around that, as LG has blocked that.

There is ONLY ONE FREE way and only one site that works with Alltel. Its called Ventones. I know, I have an alltel scoop and it works amazing and its free.

After you upload and make your ringtone, they will text you a link.

Then you just tell your phone to go to the address on the link,

it will download, and unlike those other sites that you tried, once you download it, it will save in your ringtone folder, and I GUARANTEE YOU that you will get the "Set As Ringtone" option.

How do i know all this? Because I have a Scoop from Alltel, and I use Ventones all the time. I've made over 100 ringtones in 6 months now, Its the only good site and the only one that works for Alltel.
