How do I get friends?

I lost 3 friends this year, and now I only have like...3. I really want to make more friends this year, but how do I "approach" them?

Step 1:

Bond with your fellow classmates in the bathroom. Chat with the girls you find in the bathroom when you are fixing your hair, or talk to the guys who share the bathroom on the floor of your new dorm room.

Step 2:

Get into the spirit, and go to the sporting events at your new school. Make new friends by showing your school pride, and talking to your fellow classmates at the events. Many students use these activities as a social outlet, and you can make friends easily.

Step 3:

Join a club or get into extracurricular activities that match your interests. Any club like this gives you a great outlet for your hobbies, and it can help you make new friends.

Step 4:

Talk about your professors with classmates, and ask for advice. This is a great way to talk about the subject, and a it is a great outlet for study groups and friendships.

Step 5:

Make new friends in school by putting yourself out there. Instead of reading and studying in your room, go to the library at school or study halls where you can meet people.

Step 6:

Approach people who seem interesting to you in the hallway, and always talk to those who approach you. Even if you don't form a fast friendship, it is always a good thing to talk to as many people as you can, because from the first hello it only gets easier.

hey, im going to a new school and scared about not meeting new friends.

the way im going for it, is just be extremely friendly, smile and talk to people.. not like blabbering on, but like commenting on stuff with them (bout class, makeup if your in bathroom, or just bout anything)

just be really open and nice to everyone, people like being around happy people.

if you close yourself off, no ones gonna open up to you simply.
