How do I get from Charles de Gaulle airport to Porte Maillot?

Using public transport only. How much would it cost me?

  1. You can also take an Air France bus. Line 2 goes directly from the airport to Porte Maillot but it takes a little longer than the subway (50 minutes on average) and is a little more expensive (14 €). But if you have luggage it might be more comfortable.

    If you prefer taking RER B and métro line 1, the transfer between the two lines is at Châtelet-les-Halles. Here is the map:

    RER B is a thick blue line running north-south and métro 1 is a thin yellow line running east-west. They intersect in the very middle of Paris. There you would need to take métro 1 in the direction of La Défense. Look for the sign that says "Correspondance".

    The price for the whole trip from the airport is 8.40 € (just ask for a ticket to Paris, it will be valid for the whole trip including transfers).


  2. Take the RER B line south and then transfer onto Line 1 of the Metro (yellow line). It will cost you about 10-11 Euro.
