Question:

How do I get from Dublin Airport to Harcourt Street?

Hi! We're a group of Italian people, we're coming to Dublin in July. We're checking the transport from the airport and we've found out that the bus numer 16A stops at Camden street, near Harcourt Street (right where our hotel is). Is that true or is there a better way to reach Harcourt Str. from the airport (apart from an expensive taxi drive)? I know there's the Aircoach and the Airlink, but I just can't understand if they stop near Harcourt - and we'd prefer not to walk with our (heavy)luggage :)

Thank you very much in advance!

  1. Hi!  I work on Harcourt street and the bus is fine.  I will warn you that the 16A can be a little slow but it is the cheapest option.  I think the nearest the Aircoach stops is around Trinity college but this would be a 15 walk.....  Enjoy your holiday.

  2. Get the Aircoach then walk, or get a taxi from Trinity, Aircoach kicks ***!

  3. A taxi is the best option.

If there are more than four in your group you can get one of the large taxis.

Aircoach is quite expensive and would work out about the same if not more than a shared taxi fare.

  4. Hi there.

The bus is the most efficient and the cheapest way to get in to the city. They run from right outside the terminal and can avoid the perpetual bad traffic by using the bus lanes.

It is a lovely city, enjoy!

    ciao, Steve.

  5. The buses from the airport usually stop at Busaras (the central bus station) and from there you can take all the other buses. It's a short spin from Busaras to Harcourt St. so you could also take the bus from the airport and then a taxi straight to your hotel (so you don't even have to lug your suitcases from the bus stop). I'd say a taxi ride for 4 people with suitcases from the bus station to your hotel would be no more than 10 euro, split into 4, it's about the same as the bus fee.

  6. I'd say a taxi would be the handiest if there is a group of you, probably would work out maybe cheaper than a bus. You would have to get a but to Busaras and then another but to Harcourt Street. Get one taxi between all of you, cant be that expensive.

  7. get a taxi.you could all chip in because dublin airport to harcourt street will cost ya.the journey wil be shorter because of the new port tunnel.the shorter way to get from city to airport or vice versa
