  1. The first answer is correct.  However, if you are going to spend much time in Paris, then you need to stop at the TABAC at the airport and get the PARIS PLAN 1/14000 Plan Guide.  It has a bright orange outside backing and it has the complete list of streets, metro and other landmarks.  The one I have is 10 years old and I paid 18F50 for it at the time... I would guess it's about $5 equivalent U.S.D. today (or more).

You will find it invaluable for getting around Paris.

  2. Easy : take RER E (purple line). It's direct, and St. Lazare is the final stop.

  3. using the metro is easy..

    you take line 4 southbound(direction port d'orléans),

    you change at Réaumur Sébastopol,

then, take line 3 westbound(direction Pont de Levaillois Bécon),

this will take you to Saint-Lazare....its also the cheapest option at 1.50€.

bear in mind that there are 3 stations at Saint Lazare(1 used for the RER)

    hope this helps
