  1. If you are coming from the city of Pisa, the easiest way is by train. Check out www.trenitalia.com for the schedule and prices (price depends on whether you take a fast or slow train).

If you are coming from the airport in Pisa to florence, you can either take the train (see link above). Be aware that there are some trains that leave from the airport and go directly to Florence and others that go to the central station in Pisa where you have to switch to a train going to Florence.

Another option is the Terravision bus which will take you from Pisa airport to the main train station in Florence. Here is a link for schedule and prices:

  2. Trenitalia easy to book online from the UK. 5Euro. Very pleasant journey.

  3. It very easy to do by train - the journey is between 1hr4 and 1hr20 and trains run about every 15 minutes. It costs just over 5 Euros one way - buy it at the station before you leave or buy it the day before or online (and print out your ticket) if you want to get a reservation

Further information in English is on the Italian Railways website http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

  4. Italian bus services are very reliable and run to time you buy  tickets at the tobacconist. Also ordinary people are very helpful even when neither of you have a common language

  5. train. €3.50 single for 2nd class. make sure to validate it before you get on cos they always check, and make sure you're in 2nd class carriage. they don't think it's funny when you sit in 1st and have a 2nd ticket.

  6. You can take the train.
