  1. It has been a few months since I spent any time at Ciampino waiting for a flight to come in, but I believe that the most straight-forward way of getting from one airport to the other is to use the bus/rail link from Ciampino which takes you to Rome Termini station, from which a train leaves for Fiumicino every 40 minutes. I think the links below should be accurate and current.

Be aware that you might want to be careful about making any advance plans that involve using Terravision buses. The local (state-run) competition seems determined to put them out of business and there have been a few occasions over recent months when the service has been abruptly suspended.

There's no need to be paranoid, but please be very careful to keep your wits about you and a firm grip on handbags and luggage either in-hand or very close to you when on trains and in stations.

Another thing anyone wanting to get around Rome must bear in mind is that, if you should ever need to use a taxi for any reason, use ONLY a white taxi with the crest of Roma displayed prominently on the front doors and a meter beside the driver. These are the official cabs with regulated fares. Accepting a ride in any other sort of taxi is guaranteed to result in you getting ripped off.

  2. there is a bus shuttle from Ciampino to the last stop at LINE A

then take LINE A all the way to TERMINI

from TERMINI by a ticket to take the train shuttle to FIUMICINO

    Bus ticket: 4 euros

    Metro ticket: 1 euro

    Train to FIUMICINO: 11 euro
