How do I get gas out of the fabric of my car?

I spilled some gasoline in the back seat of my car, how do I get the smell out???

  1. use carpet cleaner to realley scrub but really put a lot of work into it


  2. if you spilled gas on your seat, it has probably gone thru the fabric and into the foam underneath.  i dont think you can get the smell out without exposing the foam to the air.  dont think this is a job you want to try yourself.

  3. Gasoline has a little bit of oil in it.  Soapy water mixture will mix with the oil and can all be sopped up, then dried up, then Febrezed over to get that last hint away.       Time and airing out the car alot will help immensly.

  4. Keep the windows down to let air in , get some upholstery shampoo a scrub brush and clean the spot , the smell will disappear in a few days.

  5. Keep washing with soapy water, and open all windows etc. Or take it to a car valet person.
