How do I get good seats at a concert?

Years ago, I used to go lots of concerts and never seemed to have problems getting good seats. I didn't necessarily sit on the floor, first row, but usually could get the seats I wanted. Lately, it seems like it's impossible to get any seats anywhere close to the performer. Am I missing something? Is there some trick to getting decent seats without paying $500/seat?

Well... there are so many fan clubs and people in them that most of the "good seats" are being taken up by them. I'm pretty sure that if you're in fan clubs and society type things, you get your tickets first and also get the best seats. Sorry.... GOOD LUCK!!

1. join a fan club

2. search ticketmaster + places like that

3. take your chance + get day of show tickets

(most of the good day of show tickets are for one or two people)
