I'm going for two years of criminal justice, one year to earn my certificate in crime analysis and another year for my certificate in corrections.

  1. find a local scholarship and write a essay for it. unless ur in a different country thank the usa (which u may be) its late to consider scholarships. talk to a councilor or a adviser.

  2. Well check out the school you are going to be going to website.  I know at texas tech the main website has a link titled "scholarships and grants" and when you click on it, it brings you to a general application.  And once you fill it out they will let you know if you get a scholarship and the grants for which are available for you.  Good luck!

  3. Well for federal loans and grants you will need to file FASFA -  Electronically submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All students interested in financial aid for college will need to complete this form. www.fafsa.ed.gov

As for scholarships- go to your student service center and see what scholarships they have.   They usually offer quite an arrangement and I'm sure they will even have criminal justice ones.  Just ask to sign up (you might have to write an essay or something).  You can also check out Sallie Mae and other programs that offer student loans.  www.salliemae.com www.studentloans.com  Here is one that is specifically for CJ students:  www.collegescholarships.org/loans/crimin...

    Good Luck

Additional Info:  You don't repay 99% of most loans until after graduation.  Check the requirements before you sign up, though.

  4. go apply for them at your financial officer at your college.

  5. file the FAFSA

  6. Unless your family is dirt poor, you have amazing grades, or involved with alot of community service or clubs you might as well forget it. All the grants and scholarships that say you dont have to have a certain gpa or special skills are scams or just a waste of time. The most you will get is a few hundred if you dont have much to put on an application if you're lucky. Good luck though.

  7. FAFSA, check your career center, and if you live in CA apply for cal grants.

although your CalGrant and FAFSA (or financial aid) depends on your parents income.
