Try "Goo Gone". You can get it at any store like Wal-Mart, Target, Shoppers, etc.

There is also the method of vinegar. Pour a bit of WHITE vinegar on the gum spot and wait a moment. After that, pick at it with fingernails or a blunt object.

It is called goo gone , you can buy it anywhere, Wal-Mart Target.

My Mom used ice.  It hardens it and then chips off.
