Question:

How do I get hair dye off of my toilet seat?

Yesterday I was dyeing my hair red. I didn't notice it until last night, but I got some on the toilet seat and it's smeared. I've already tried using bleach to no avail. Please help! The actual location and color make it look like a different type of stain (if you know what I mean). I don't want people coming over disgusted by my toilet seat.

  1. I'm not 100% sure about removing hair dye, but I have found a product called "Magic Eraser," made by Mr. Clean that has been an incredible stain remover for me.  It even removes all sorts of scuff marks from walls and doesn't disturb the paint.  I love it, it's worth a try and not expensive.  I purchased it from Target, but I'm pretty sure you could find it in any large chain grocery store.

  2. Try either nail polish remover or soft scrub with bleach.

  3. A new toilet seat can cost as little as $10.  A really good one would be about $20.

    Might be a good investment.

  4. There is a product called OOPS that gets everything off of everything. It's made by Homax Products, Bellingham,WA.
