How do I get high resolution from my Sony TRV-460?

I have a Sony TRV-460. When I transferred video to my computer, the images were low resolution? How do I get high quality videos when I transfer? I have the tape setting at SP and I transferred using iMovie on an Intel Mac. All transferred fine, but the resolution was not very high.

You are not going to get high quality video from a TRV-460. You need a newer HD camcorder. The sensor in the 460 is small & cheap. Sorry........
