I'm a girl, by the way.

I'm not "exceptional"at anything, but I'm pretty tall, 6'0, and I just want to be fitter for when the season comes around.

  1. running, push up, set up and chin up

and try to increase the resistance every time

good luck i hope you make it :)

  2. Killers/suicides.  Start at the baseline, sprint to the free-throw line and back, then to half-court and back, opposite free-throw line and back, opposite baseline and back, without stopping. That's 1!  Rest and repeat.

  3. Keep exercising and playing ball with other people at the gym and strengthening exercises for your legs and arms.Try lifting light weights .

  4. Running will come in very handy. Run about a mile a day then play sports like tennis or soccer. Tennis and soccer are sports that involve changing direction quickly, which is important for basketball. If you want to become  a faster runner, jump rope. It is very effective. Good luck!

  5. stop eating junk fOOd

  6. well, im a basketball player myself. i always use this technique and it helps. im assuming you play center becuase of you height.. so some things you can do are:

    1. throw the ball up and jump up to get the ball. dont let the ball come to you. YOU jump and get the ball as high as you can. if you do this everyday your rebounding skills will increase. (im 5'4 and i get the rebounds)

    2. since you are going to play in the key alot. get the ball and just start shooting it (shoot only from the inside of the key) with ONE HAND (your shooting hand). do any moves you want but only shoot with one hand.

    3. shooooot ALOTTTTTTTTTT OF FREE THROWS. try to make it a goal everyday to make in 10 freethrows IN A ROW. you dont leave till you make 10 in a row.

    4. practice with someone to stand defense on you for posting. i know 3 techniques for posting. ill try to write it out. 1st one is if there defending you towards your right side more fake right and twist left and run in(vise versa). 2nd one is if there standing tooooo close to you push them very lightly twist and do jump shot. 3rd if there standing not too close but barely touching you do a fake run in left or right (your choice)  very fast movement, step back shoot.

im 5'4 and i post. as long as you know where you are on the court at all times. you can feel where there touching you your good. if there pressuring you on the right go towards the left. if there pressuring you on the left go right.

for defense just look at their waste you wont falll for tricks if you look at their waste. and if your defending somone as they post put your one elbow against thier bak (right in the middle) and one hand up (usualy the hand thats up is the side the ball is at) AND BE VERY AGGRESSIVE but dont foul

let me know if you dont get anything. : ) goodluck and have fun

  7. good question before and during every season i do lots of squats to help my jumping and rebounding and lots suicides for long metabolism which will help u play longer in the game also try doing lots of jump rope it keeps ur body in shape.

e.c practice Martial arts just in case u get into a fight lol just kidding have fun.
