How do I get internet anywhere in my house?

I have wireless internet but don't get it in my basement, and don't have an ethernet cable down there. All we have is a phone and cable plug. Is there anyway to get internet down there without buying a 100ft ethernet cord and wiring down there (which probably won't be possible)?

  1. our dsl beams out to the patio.

    your isp is at fault

but you can get a wireless network adapter for 19.99 at overstock

plug it into the laptop, it will show you ALL the signals within 200 feet of your computer

  2. Yes there is a powerline network system you can get from best buy. You plug the ethernet cable from your router into a box that plugs into the wall power socket by your router. You then take another socket and plug it in where you want a connection. Take another ethernet cable and connect the computer to the second wall socket. Its not as fast as ethernet but it works.
