How do I get internet working on my router and my computer

Question

The internet works on my router but not on my computer I Know I connected the cables correctly when ever I try to connect to internet on my computer it just says server can not be found

Unplug your router (and modem) for 10 seconds to reboot them.  Then reboot your computer(s).  You should be able to connect now.

If you still can't connect, and you purchased the router yourself call the manufacturer.  They can help you get it working properly.

If the router was provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) call them and they will either send someone to fix it or help fix it over the phone.

Which company router do you have and what's the model number?

Try bypassing your router all together!  I'm not sure if that'll work with your ISP or service.   It  sounds weird but when the bozos at Verizon couldn't figure out why I couldn't get to the internet I just plugged my computer directly into the wall... minus the router.  Worked like a charm!  :  )
