Question:

How do I get into Michigan?

I want to go to Michigan but I have a 3.09 GPA last year, and this year I'll be a junior...and I dont live in Michigan BTW, could that hurt my chances.

Any tips?

  1. Get your GPA up.  Do extremely well on the SAT/ACT exam.  Run for school office, show some volunteer work, sports.  All state universities will favor in-state students first.  Good luck, great school.  (college prof in Michigan)


  2. Michigan is more concerned about your SAT/ACT scores than your GAP.  And living outside the state won't hurt or help you.  You will be competingagainst all other out-a-staters.
