  1. Actually just look for amateur fight organizations ( promoters ) in your area or state.  Registration is pretty simple and a local ammy promoter will be happy to get you onto one of their fight cards.  I'm assuming that you already have decent training of course.  amateur shows accept "Independent Fighters" as well.  So on the registration application where it says, "Coach/Team" just put independent fighter and when it asks for your cornermen have at least one name ready although a lot of local promoters nation wide can and will provide you a cornerman if you don't have your own.  Things to consider when looking for an organization to fight in are as follows:  Number of shows per month ( don't look to fight in promoters' shows that don't do at least two per month ), Event staff ( bad officiating sucks out loud and it's a way for a promoter to get their own fighters recognition if you lose ), Medical staff and/or EMS services at the show, and most importantly make sure that the events fighters have a video or two on you tube so you can watch tape on them before you fight them ( ammy fighters eat you tube up ).  Most ammy promoters will provide you with MMA grappling gloves as well if you don't already own your own , but you'll need your own compression shorts, cup, board shorts and/or fight shorts, mouth piece, petroleum jelly to apply to your face to prevent cuts before the start of the fight and between rounds as well, a white towel, water bottle, etc. in the corner with your corner man.  It all sounds complicated, but it's rather easy to get into a ammy event man. After you fight about 6 or more ammy fights promoters who do pro-am fights will often invite you to go pro under their own flag ship if you go undefeated against their toughest through 6 straight.  You'll need to take their crappy pay and make sure you sign a "open ended" contract get about another half a dozen to a dozen pro fights under your belt with  a pro-am promoter and then contact Sean Shelby at the UFC who is on the UFC's website under "Learn UFC"/"FAQ" and send him video tape of your pro fights.  It may take a few years, but well worth it if you're willing to go the distance.

As a Footnote: Your ammy record never reflects on your pro record they are entirely different, so I wouldn't worry about ammy losses too bad unless you start losing to really s**+**y fighters that is. Ammy fighters are way more dangerous than pro fighters some time because they have way more to prove than pro fighters so never under estimate any MMA fighter period when standing toe to toe with them bro.  The only difference between ammy fighters and pro fighters is "T.V. and DVD exposure" 99.9% of the time.  Any one who ever tells you any thing different than this is a total idiot or a fan that has no clue as to what the details in the MMA business are.  I train ammy fighters and have a very well grounded sence of this business and that's no lie or you can take the opinion of some fan wanna-be who thinks they know some thing about it when in all honesty they don't know jack sh*t about it at all other than what they see on T.V.

  2. do strret figghts first like kimbo

  3. First you need to start training, work your way from there.

  4. your not good enough, don't bother. You will get cauliflower ears and you will be pounded around alot with injuries. Just stick with an MMA studio being taught by a teacher. You will also definately have no chance if you have not taken martial arts.. which I have not seen you list any.
