How do I get into doing humanitarian work?

It seems like all the websites and organization want college educated people to work for them. :-(

  1. Start by logging onto one.org. There you can sign up to be a volunteer for them in your local one group or even start a group!! Make sure to sign the decloration while you are there. You can also call your represenatives and ask them to help fight world poverty!!


  2. That's right -- people in developing countries want people with a high degree of skills and expertise helping them. Also, they would prefer that they themselves be hired to do the work that's needed, rather than bringing in foreigners.

    If you want to do humanitarian work, then commit yourself to gaining the education and skills that are critically needed in the developing world.
