How do I get into the acting career?

I'm 14 and I really want to be an actor, I just started drama school and it's something I want to do, it would be really fun.

I'm not sure where to start or what to do next, I don't want to rush into it, I'd like to do drama school a bit more to get more experience, but I hope to be in a movie or a TV show. Any help appreciated! :)

Firstly, know that most Drama schools don't want you to do anything outside for at least the first two years while they are training you.

Secondly, read below the answer I gave to another boy your age who was asking kind of the same:

Finish school. Become knowledgeable in a huge assortment of areas, so when you are presented with a script, you know what the heck it's about and what's required of your character.

Learn to read aloud and to memorize and inflect. This is great practice for the enormous amounts of cold readings you'll do on the huge amounts of auditions you'll have to go on.

Speaking of auditions... audition for everything. Get used to various styles of direction. And get used to rejection.

Read scripts, both for stage AND screen. They are in libraries and book stores. Know your craft.

Be a movie Extra during the summer. Participate in your school and community theatre plays.

If your hometown doesn't have community theatre, put a troupe together yourself. But GET experience performing.

Learn your craft. Keep asking questions.

Oh... and forget about the 'being famous' bit. At least for now. First become a WORKING ACTOR.

Then work on your networking... and if you happen to be the one pebble in the sandbox who finds that Luck and Preparation meet at the crossroads... then fame is a lot more tangible."

Well im in ur shoes rite now...

I love to act and sing, It has always been my life. I noe Xactly wat ur goin thru, i feel the same way not to rush into it.

U shuld check out this website, its more for disney channel but it helps alot...

It gives out great advice and such...
