I've always wanted to write a letter to for a soldier to thank them for their commitment and what they do in the army over in the Middle East. How do I get involved with this? And to what address would I mail it to? Any information on this topic can help. Thanks so much!

  1. Know the addresses of the soldiers from the Personnel Officer of the Armed Forces in Iraq to send them letters.

  2. Oh! I have the perfect place for you, and anyone else who would like to write to soldiers! It is a website started by a family whose son was in the army. They had been sending letters and packages to their son, and found out later that he was sharing everything with his fellow soldiers who received few letters and packages from home. When they found it out, it was decided they would send some extra packages marked Any Soldier, and their son would hand those out to his friends. After a time, they decided it would be a good idea to let more people have a chance to help support their troops, and put up this website. It is very easy. All you do it follow the link "where to send" and you will find looong lists of soldiers who have requested letters and packages for their men. You can write to the soldier who posted the request, or put "Attn: Any Soldier" below the name, and he will know to give it to one of his friends who needs some extra support or a little bit of home.

I have only sent 2 letters so far, but one of the soldiers actually replied though e-mail, and the past few months we have been e-mailing back and fourth. It is very exciting to be able to help support our troops. http://anysoldier.com/

You can send packages too, with gifts, and needed supplies. A lot of the soldiers even put up lists of things their men need in case you want to send them things. But what they want most of all, is to know that the folks back home are standing behind them, and supporting them.

  3. there is this organization called USO and they have this adapt a soldier program, u can send them letters, cards, whatever u want. as far as how to register, my best bet would be to go to the mwr at any post and they could direct you.
