I'm sorry it can't be done. The only solution is to download the music again. That is if you have the iPod touch.

OK, first go into iTunes and change your settings so that iTunes doesn't automatically update your iPod when you plug it in. Then plug it in and open up Windows Explorer (Right click start button and click on Explore). Then find the music files on your iPod and copy and paste into your iTunes folder. Make sure you copy and paste, not cut and paste.
