How do I get music from my windows media player to my blackberry pearl?

I have downloaded the software from the cd it came with and the usb cord is plugged in, but when I go to windows media player it wont recognize my blackberry phone? I cant for the life of me figure out how to get this music to my phone! Please help

The media section begins on page 131 of the manual (pg 133 of the pdf file). The media sections covers transferring media files, pictures, music files, and ring tones. It gives you step-by-step instructions.
