How do I get my DVD remote to work again?

i dropped my remote on a hard floor then when i tried to use, it wouldn't work at all. i changed the batteries after dropping it thinking that it might help.

I would forget it, go to CVS or Walgreen's or wherever and buy a universal remote for ten bucks.  You won't be able to fix it and its not worth it.
