I'm 16 years old and I turn 17 in two months. I dropped out of school last fall a month after it started. I was in the ninth grade. I dont want to go back to school next year being 17 in 9th grade and I think getting my GED will be the best option for me because I have social anxiety and I dont want to face 3 more torturing years of h**l!
My question is, how do I go about getting my GED? I know that I will probably need to take some classes to help prepare for the GED test. The only place that offers classes here is this vocational school in the school distrct here. Should I contact the vocational school (I have the number at the vocational school to call for GED classes) or should I call a testing center first?
If I call the vocational school, do they set up an appointment so I can come in and take a pre-test? After I take the pre-test, do they grade it and determine what classes I will need to take? Do I take the pre-test with other people or just by myself?
