Question:

How do I get my Playstation 2 to play on my HP Media PC?

I have been trying to connect my Playstation 2 to my HP Media Center PC m1195c. My computer has a built-in TV Tuner, and it has the inputs (yes, inputs -- not outputs) on the front of the PC for the RCA connectors and S-Video Cable. I bought a Universal Cable for the PS2 that contains both the RCA connectors and the S-Video cable.

However, when I plug it into the computer, nothing happens. Nothing pops up, even when the Playstation 2 is on. I don't know how to get the computer to recognize the cables plugged into it, or where to go from there.

Please help!

Also, no comments about VGA adapters or anything like that. I should be able to play the PS2 on this computer... I just don't know what to do.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Typically you have some type of software that needs to be run so the computer know to redirect the signal from the rca inputs to your monitor (something like windows media center).
