How do I get my Verizon xv6700 to unlock?

the touch screen is cracked on the phone so it doesn't work. It somehow locked itself and since the touch screen doesn't work, I can't get it to unlock. I just need to get my contacts and info from it to pass to my new phone. Anyone know how I can unlock the screen?

  1. take out the battery and restart it. see if that works
