How do I get my audio back after a system recovery?

I performed a system recovery on xp and now i have no sound coming out of my speakers. The speakers are properly plugged in and they do still turn on. I have already performed the search for machine.inf, blah blah, and the sound is already enabled. However, my computer does not recognize an audio device and says i need to install a mixer device. I'm not tech savvy and i don't know how to do things concerning this without step by step guidance. Please help me.

  1. Try using the Microsoft Windows Update. This should help you get all the drivers you need to get your drivers up to par. Another method is, to get all the info on your mobo and google its make and model. Some mobo manufacturers have drivers for audio/video on the website.

  2. redownload your sound driver if you dont know how to know what sound drivers you need email me for more help at matrax789078@hotmail.com
