How do I get my boyfriend excited about our second child being a girl??

I just found out I'm having a lil girl and my boyfriend is upset that its not a girl. we already have a daughter. how can i get him excited hes gonna have two little girls?

I am sure once he see her he will be fine. Just relax it takes guys longer to adjust then us women. My husband wasnt excited about our little girl and now that she is here. He is crazy over her and always tells me how to do things and what to do. It will be ok. He just needs time to adjust!

Well, I know a lot of men are excited to know they will have a lil version of them running around but hate the idea of having a daughter to raise. I have a son and just found out that I have a daughter on the way. My boyfriend was a lil disappointed, but he knows he has to accept it. And I'm sure he'll love her to death when she gets here. So I would say just give it time. She will steal his heart.

Well, you can do the same things with a girl that you can do with a boy.

No, she's not gonna turn into a "d**e" if that's what he's thinking. =/ It's 2008 - girls doing "boy things" is completely accepted.

well its kind of hard from a dads point of view. It must be hard watching your little girl grow up. From raising your baby to a kid and them losing their best friends, from kids to teens, getting involved in drama and drugs, and from teens to adults and the s*x and serious dating. Its deffinitly hard for him to go through it TWICE. But time will tell. Goodluck
