How do I get my cat to obey me and do what I say?

It wont come inside when I ask it to. It wont come to me! I got this cat from my kids mothers house and still wont listen to us. 10 points for best answer!

sorry but cats dont listen. some do, but if you want a pet to listen to you, get a dog.

Good luck!  My in-laws actually saw a trained house cat at a zoo once.  Before then, we had no idea it was possible!  Cats are extremely independent and you have to start training them as soon as they're born, practically.  How old is this cat?  If it's over a year old, it's probably too late.  You can try using treats to get it to come to you.  But you can just let it stay outside until it wants to come in and come to you when it feels like it too.

You can't always train a cat. Cats do what they please for the most part. But to teach it it's name try sitting about a foot away with some food, call the cat by name and give it the treat when it comes to you. Repeat this over and over, each time moving back about a foot. Eventually your cat will associate its name with a treat and start coming when it's called.

Cats do not obey like a dog does. The best you can do is buy it treats and it'll come to the sound of you shaking the box of treats, maybe once it's hooked on them.
