How do I get my cat to sleep when I do?

I have two cats and they are very much awake when my husband and I are trying to sleep. I have tried feeding them later, playing with them before bed, foil on the floor, a fan outside the door- any other suggestions?

I actually adopted a kitten about 3 months go who would drive me nuts at night!! Now, she sleeps when I do!!! I love it! All i did with her was totally wear her out til she basically dropped then i let her lay down but still did not let her SLEEP...i would keep her in my lap n rub her ears to relax her but when she started to doze off id pick her up a lil to keep her awake. then i have a special spot for her to sleep..dont let them jus nap all over the house..when I am ready to sleep i put her in her sleepin area n pet her there for a while. She'll be soo tired shell pass right out. The first couple times she still didnt sleep through the WHOLE night...but alteast most of it...now she sleeps the whole time n doesnt wake me til shes ready to be fed around 9 or 10 the next morning. Just do that for a few nights until she gets the hang of it...then eventually...shell jus understand that once u put her in her sleepin area...its time to sleep!

cats would hunt at dawn and dusk. i have three cats and they have a bedtime routine so they know we are going to bed.

1 a brush and comb

2 playtime of fetch or kill the bug (a toy on a wand)

3 water and food including 120g of biscuits between three cats

4 litter pan is moved from bathroom to their sleeping area (my frontroom i live in a flat)

5 told time for bed and the scatter for one last game we have nicknamed round kitties up and once in the front room not a peep from them (unles we have a storm) until we get up at 730am. some routine each night.

Get a crate and put them out side for a little bit when you want them to be awake. this worked for my cats

there is nothing you can do cats sleep diferent than humans. you can shut your door, that will help.
