The bar and chain lube is not feeding anymore. This saw is a Homelite UT10520 I just bought and has been used less than 5 hours. It is gunked up around the area with sawdust mixed with the oil. If I clean it out will it start feeding the oil again?

  1. I agree with renpen.  That being said, you mentioned that you just bought this saw.  It should be covered under warranty.  Take it to an authorized warranty depot.

  2. It very well could, I believe that have a diaphram pump to supply the bar/chain oil but it is real low pressure.  If the holes are plugged with sawdust it will not oil at least properly.  Clean it all up including the groove in the bar all the way around.  Make sure that the spacer plates are installed correctly between the bar and the cover.  I hold my saw bar close to the plastic garbage can and I can see the oil coming off the bar onto the can.  A hole in the oil line will also cause a no oil issue.
