How do I get my contacts off of my blackberry pearl on my computer so I can save them to my desktop?

I am switching phones and don't want to hand write all of the contacts out so how do I save them to my computer by plugging my phone in. I tried syncing it, but I don't think that worked.

To get contacts off of your desktop you'll need to use the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

If your new phone is also a BlackBerry they have a really great wizard to transfer everything from phone to phone.

it should work by syncing your phone/ contacts.

I have a audiovox xv6700 and I synced everything on my phone before I reset my phone to default settings and it wiped everything out, like it's supposed to, but when I synced my phone after I reset it, I got my contacts back. I didn't think it was possible but I did.

You should be able to sync them though.. or there might be a setting on your phone where you can back everything up if something happens.

I know on verizon you can go on "get it now" and from there it would let you.
