How do I get my gamer tag off of my brothers Xbox 360

I was thinking about getting one for myself, and wanted to know how I could get the gamer tag off of his. The problem is that he doesn't have Xbox Live, so I can't recover it. Is there a way to put it onto a flash drive, or something similar?

  2. You can transfer it onto a memory card and then move it over to yours.
