Question:

How do I get my girlfriend to feel romantically comfortable with me?

I have only dated men until now. Recently a girl friend told me she had feelings for me and is always nervous around me. Now that I have started to have feelings back, she is scared. She has never been in a relationship of any sort and it is difficult for her. Among all things, her family is extremely religious and she is afraid to tell them. Is there anything I can do? I really have feelings for her now, but I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable or scare her away. Any help?

  1. You seem like a really good friend.  Take things easy, there is no rush.

Only start a relationship if you are both sure about the situation, and only at a pace that you are both comfortable with.

Explain to your friend that you have the same feelings, but will wait for her to make the first move as you dont want to force her into something that she/you will regret.

Hope it works out for you.

  2. Just enjoy hr companionship.

  3. Give her some space for her to think about it, and she will see that you are considerate and are willing to wait for a full-on relationship with her. If you are willing to wait for her to come around, then tell her. She will realise how much you care for her-as a friend and as someone who loves her.

  4. I would say to just spend more time with her and have her get to know the relationship you two have, and the relationship she also has with herself. I can understand how she would be scared. Just let her know you understand, of course, and tell her you are there for her.
