Question:

How do I get my hair to stay straight?

My Hair is thick, dark brown, a little longer then chest length, and it has layers. The shortest layer is at my shoulder.

My layers will not grow out in time for school, and I know that.

I want to have my hair PIN Straight, but whenever I use a flat iron, since i have layers, the layered parts just wave up again and they start sticking out everywhere, and it ends up looking half wavy, half straight, and it ends up looking horrible!

How can I get my hair to stay PIN straight, for about 6 to 7 hours at a time ? (I need my hair straight for school- PIN straight) The layers in my hair completely ruin it.

Are there any products I can use that REALLY work ? For a good price ? It just won't stay straight! How can I get it to stay straight!?

PLEASE HELP! (And please give detail- I need to do this every morning for school.)

  1. i have the same hair issues!

but then again, i asked Melissa, my hairdresser. what you need to do if have a shower in the morning instead of at night, if that what is currently being done.

then you add some herbal essence "set me up" mousse, and run in from the roots of your hair all the way through, while hair is still damp.

Blow dry hair straight, using a cut out brush (the brushes with holes behind the bristles, to let the warm air through)

Then, part hair in sections, like, about four different, and that's at the bottom, the  underneath layer, and start to straighten. then continue through hair. afterwards run fingers through hair, and ruffle at roots for volume.

this will make you look super adorable fro school.

And as for it saying straight. avoid hairspray!

i know many people will recommend it, but it just gives your hair a crunchy look, and later on in the day, it tends to flake and look like dandruff... Very unattractive!

Use herbal Essenes "surfer hair" spray. It holds your hair in place all day with out a greasy residue, and it smells great.

I hope you take my suggestion, because, This past year i had the same problem, and this one solution made my hair work out wonderful, especially for photos!
