How do I get my parents to let me take my car to school

I go to college and I would like to have my car with me there, so i can get a job in town and have transportation from on campus to off campus. i might even be living off-campus. my mom is being ridiculous and saying i can't take my own car because there is only two weeks left and it's not insured yet. how do i make them get it insured? there is no point in having a car when i can't use it and i'm sick of having everyone else be my chauffeur!

Who's name is the car in? Why don't you insure the car? Get a job part time so as not to interfere with studies. But as a junior in college you should start being responsible for yourself. You can get insurance on line and print out proof of it.

If it is YOUR car then YOU are responsible for getting it insured.  If you are a junior in college then you need to be responsible for your own car.  You're not a baby any longer, stop acting like one.

Listen to your MOM on this one hon.You get in ONE accident and no insurance(and it IS possible ANYTIME your drive whether it is 2 weeks or 2 yrs) AND YOU ARE SCREWED ,ESPECIALLY, if anyone is injured seriously.

Better safe than sorry and if there are only 2 weeks left then just tough it out.
