When I was growing up teachers always said "This is going in your permanent record" Where is that? How can I see what is in it?

  1. I'm sure they were talking about your school record, which is true.  Any deviant behavior, grade average, school activities you were involved in is all kept in your school record.  I guess if you want to see specifically what's in that record, you would have to request a transcript from your HS and also ask for any documentation they have concerning school behavior, etc.

Most schools won't just release this information to anyone who calls.  You'd probably have to go the school w/ identification and get it that way.  Of course, if you know everything you did throughout your school years, you shouldn't have to look at your "permanent" record to figure it out, yes?

  2. It should be in your old high school, go ask them.
