I raised her from a newborn with her 2 sisters. She is one and a half now. I usually take her out in the yard with me while I am out working, but she went up a tree and down the street. Usually she can't stand to be out of my sight. I am NOT interested in "shes a wild animal" c**p, She DOES NOT know what she is. I am not a wild raccoon, she thinks I am her "mother", so therefore (instinct to climb aside) she does not know what she is. I have looked everywhere for her, I checked to make sure she wasnt in the street and looked basically under every rock in the neighborhood. I run a rescue and have used every trick I know. I am distraught, I miss her sooo much, someone please give me a way to bring her home.

  1. She should not be allowed to come back to your house after she has disappeared she may have contracted diseases and yes she does know she is a wild animal and that you aren't I would suggest you turn her over to a sanctuary. You can be prosecuted if you don't have an accurate permit. It is not right for you to keep her. if you have any kids or other pets you need to think of them and stop being selfish about the animal!!!

  2. Hello; Raccons are such awesome critters; did you know Racoons wash their food before they eat because they do not have good salviary glands; so they need water?

    So Racoons like watery foods like berries;

    I would put out your Racoons's favorite food and see if she comes back for food;

    You could buy a Have A Hart Cage; put food in the cage; the Racoon will return.

    Chances are the Racoon will return for food.

    Keep calling out for her; they have good ears; Remember Coons sleep during day;

    so best best; look for her at dawn or dusk; a

  3. I'm glad your raccoons came home, but I would build them a large pen around the tree(s) to keep them safe.  I assume they have had all they're shots.  If not, get them ASAP.  My pet raccoon lives inside all the time and I would be scared to death if she got out.  Dogs, people, and cars are not kind, especially when a strange raccoon walks up and asks for food and thinks its a person.  Mine got out once and I found her under the neighbor's house.  They almost trapped her and took her away!  People put poisons out and all kind of terrible things.  You know that it doesn't take more than a second for a coon to get into trouble.  I would definately build something in the yard to contain them, particularly if they're not spayed.
