How do I get my picture next to my name instea of the avatar?

Question

I have a picture in my yahoo 360 profile and under my profile I clicked the box to use the 360 picure

Can anyone help me, Why isnt it working??

Any image you use, whether it's the Yahoo! Avatar or an image that's on your 360 page, it's still an avatar.  An avatar is simply a representation of yourself.  Go to you 360 page, click on "my page", then "Edit  Personal Photos".  Go to the image you want to use here and be sure to select "Set as Primary".  Then save.

If you've already set Y!A preferences to use the 360 page, you should be all set.  To double check, you can go to your profile, click "Edit My Profile", and make sure that option is checked.  It's possible your image has shown up already.  Even though you didn't change anything, go to the bottom of the page and save anyway ("Preview" and "OK").  You should see the image you set as primary on your 360 page.

The avatar is the representation of you on Yahoo! Answers. It can be a cartoon figure or a photo.

❶ If you want a cartoon figure then go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create or modify one and then go to part 3.

❷ If you would rather have a photo then first pick one on your computer. If it is on the web then download it. Create a Yahoo 360 account if you don't have one. You can get one at http://360.yahoo.com . Click on the "My Page" tab and then "Edit Personal Photos". You are allowed to put four pictures there by following the instructions. Mark the one you want to use as primary.

❸ Now for either a cartoon or a picture save everything and go back to Yahoo Answers. Click on your old avatar in Yahoo Answers which brings you to your profile. Now go to "Edit My Info". You can pick the cartoon or picture there to use.

➾ NOTE: Sometimes changes can take up to 24 hours due to work Yahoo is doing to the system. Be patient.
