How do I get my ps3, HDtv, and laptop to Cali by plane?

Hello, so I'm going to live with my sister for a bit and I'd like to bring my ps3, 27 inch tv and laptop there, but I'm travellign by plane--whats the best way to get them all there? I know laptop carry-ons are no big deal (if someone could tell me security protocol for them that'd be nice too) but how about my ps3 and TV? I think I could put my ps3 in a small suitcase and carry it on but what about the tv? Is it safe to check it?

Well a 27" tv is a little tricky on the plane would suggest packing it up in the original box and sending it as fragile luggage.
