How do I get my sister interested in the NFL?

I want to get my sister interested in the NFL...she's 13 and a huge Jonas Brothers fan, and a Yankees fan but she's never really been into football. Any tips?

I want her to like any team but the Patriots...I'd prefer it if she didnt like the same team as me (Jets).

First off, it seems like you want to control your sister a lot ?  Anyways, if you'd like to get her interested in football just try and explain it to her a little so she might understand it better.  Also telling her there are hot guys who play football and that boys will like it if she's into football wouldn't hurt.

Anyways you can't control it if she's just not into football like you are or what team she likes either.  We are all different and you should just let her pick who she wants to choose as a favorite team.  If you try and control who she roots for, this will utimately turn her off football.

Oh and do you try and share her interests too?  This might make her want to learn more about the things you like.  And so what if she likes the same team you do?  That wouldn't be so bad especially if it gets her interested in football like you want.

In any case all you can do is try and have her watch some games with you and if she looks bored try and explain it to her.  You know all the terminology and penalties

Hahaha my brother did this to me when I was in 7th grade and I've been obsessssed with football ever since but he and I like the same team. Whenever she's watching TV switch the channel to a game and don't let her change it back. Eventually she'll start asking questions about it until she understands the game and then she'll probably like it

Just invite her to sit down and watch a game with you.  Offer to buy her favorite treat or meal while she's watching.  Just don't force.  I'm not into sports at all, and people have tried.  It just doesn't do anything for me.  But if she's into other sports, there's a good thing she'll get into football--it's an easy sport to watch, and much less boring than baseball (in my opinion).

If you have a cute guy friend, invite him over to watch football with you and your sister - that will get her to watch it - and if you ask him to explain the game to her she will probably listen more to him than to you and become interested in football just to have something to talk to him about.

Don't laugh - a cute guy is how I got interested in football.  He was only in my life for that one football season, but I got hooked - on football - not him!

I am a major Jets fan since Brett Favre came, I am a girl and have been into football for a while, but really got interested into it last year, I just started watching and got really into it, after that my dad and I got matching jerseys and would wear them every gane as a good luck charm :)
