I'm 14 and have been writing stories since I was 8. I have my own lap top that's devoted to all my writing. I've written many many stories but have only gotten really into a few of my stories and actually finished them. I just wrote a story a year and a half ago that's just over 200 pages and now I'm finishing the sequel which is about 250 pages so far. Almost finished. How can I get people to check out my stories, because I think they can get me noticed in life. Thank you!!

  1. I would purchase the most recent addition of "Writers Market Bonus addition" it comes with a years subscription to writers market online. Now a days publishers use agents as filters so you need to do your research and start esnding your manuscripts to agents. Once you snag an agent your agent will help you navigate the publishers. Previous poster was right about your parents needing to be involved though.

    Good luck!

  2. Take a look at Writer's Market at the public library. It tells who is buying what and how to submit. Your parents would have to sign if you were offered a contract.

  3. In the same boat only a tad bit older. From what i have heard (and again this is not from professionals nor published contracted authors but, blogs and self published people so the credibility is questionable) one way is to have you manuscript printed into book form and then start the foot work. Or you can send it off to book agents. I think that personally the book agent is the way to go. They have access to avenues that are blocked and even hidden from most unpublished writers

  4. I'm 13 and I want to be a writer too. I also have my own laptop. But wow, 250 pages?!?! My longest is 82. Way to go!!! I let my friends and family read my stories. They're very supportive. What are yours about? You can google publishers, but also Stephenie Meyer's website tells about how she got published.
