How do I get my sub woofers out of protection mode?

I have a 1995 Eagle talon tsi and I have subs and an amp in my car...SPL Series 2 1200 Watt Amp....I took it to get a new deck installed today. My subs do not work and the guy said that the light was on and the subs were in protection mode. I cannot figure out how to get it out of protection mode. Please help!!

  1. it sounds like the amp is in protection mode.  there could be an problem with the amp internally. and taking the fuses out of the side of the amp is not a good way to reset it. there should be a fuse on the power wire somewhere. take that fuse loose and reconnect. if the light is still on take the speaker leads aloose and try to power the amp again if the light is still on get abother amp. hope this helps


  2. do you mean the amp is in protection mode. if it is then take out the fuses and put them back in to reset the amplifier a way to prevent protection mode is to rewire your subwoofers to better correspond with your amp, annother meaning of protection mode is the amp is in need of repair. subs do not go into protection mode theyre not programed to do so

  3. there should be a 1-800 # on the back of the subs this should be the factory # give them a call they should be able 2 help
