  1. It's never too early for a time out.  Say no, then point to what they have done, then give them a time out.  When they get out...take him back to the same place and say no again.  You have to train him.

  2. Depending on the age and action a swat on the butt and timeout worked well for my children!!  It is normal for a toddler to not listen though, it will change in time!! Try to be patient and explain in "toddler terms" what he is doing wrong!!

  3. Congratulations. He's normal.

    They all do this.

Start using time outs / time in the corner  after a warning.

  4. A couple books I can recommend- first some tips- always get on his level and make him make eye contact- I have read that for boys, if they are not looking directly at you, they do not hear you!!!!

    Books:

Have a New Kid by Friday- by Kevin Leman

That's My Son: How Moms Can Influence Boys to Become Men of Character- by Rick Johnson

    Hope these help

  5. I have a 18month old that laughs when I try to tell him "no, stop, careful" or anything like that. The only thing I can do is try and redirect his active self! Good luck!
